Falling in love with Mexico is what I say happened to my husband in 2008. Since then, he has learned the ends and outs of Copper Canyon like few other gringos, ever. He has learned the language, building on high school Spanish class. He has built a trusted team of Mexican business partners. He is discovering new places and new states and is taking others there to experience the wonders of Mexico. Some of his best friends are Mexicans.
And he loves the food! I love that he loves to bring recipes and experiences to our home for new tastes and new looks and new ingredients.
Here is a recent blog post on an amazing soup a group of travelers had in the home of a local cook on a recent “Blue Corn Express” trip. THIS was the recipe most requested, so our kitchen was the site of perfecting it with North American ingredients. It is pretty tasty.
